New Year's REVOLUTION!

All right, I'm tired of making New Year's resolutions and never actually completing them. It's no secret that New Year's resolutions are just a big joke to make us feel like this year might be better when we don't do anything to even try.

So this year's resolution is actually going to be a revolution of my life. No more starting things and not finishing them, giving up because they're too hard to do, forgetting and not even trying...none of that.

Now, I realize that 'New Year's Revolution' is a big statement, which is why I have this blog to put myself on blast when I fail to do the things I intended to. It appears that public humiliation is a huge motivating factor for personal action. I will attempt to improve my productivity and habits while tracking my progress here starting 1.01.11 You see, I've realized something. All these years before and leading up until now, I was a wuss. Too scared to fail, succeed or even try.

A 'Gladiator' (2000) quote comes to mind: "What, you think I'm afraid?"/ "I think you've been afraid all your life." And it's largely true. Inaction due to fear and uncertainty resulting in missed opportunity is basically the story of much of my life's failures. So no more wussiness, it's time for action. It's really now or never, it seems. Time for change. Laugh at me--please, laugh and make fun of me if I fall behind. It's motivation, until I build up the strength to fully motivate myself, I suppose. Accountability is a great way to encourage action. So let's do it!

I have several areas in my life that I would like to improve upon and have designated specific tasks to each. More details to follow...
